  September 12, 2006 - Just after decanting had minimal nose, but after 1 hr. began to open revealing a faint raspberry/strawberry fragrance. 3 hr. after decanting, drank with NY strip steak dinner. Nose had become more muted with raspberry & forest floor; medium body with subtle cassis and dominant menthol / spice layers; balanced acidity, smooth tannic backbone and a medium finish. A decent burg for the money.
