Not aggressively tannic - nobody would confuse this with a left-bank bordeaux blind, for example. Paired superbly with a heavy sauce-drenched eggplant parm and chicken parm, plus penne & cherry tomatoes. I believe this wine has at least 3-5 years, and possibly a lot more.
