  June 10, 2011 - Still quite dark with mild bricking; nose is showing a bit of heat, raisined, some cacao/coffee; palate has nice structure with integrated tannins, not showing too much heat on the palate and has some good fruit; finish is a bit drying. Overall this wine is not even close to the brilliance of the 94 cab or the 92 maya, and it may be because this wine is made in a warmer modern style than vintages that preceded it (I prefer a hint of mint or green in my wines). Also, I'm suspicious that this wine is a bit corked. I'm rating this flawed, but it's still very drinkable and enjoyable at 87 pts.
