August 19, 2011 - Very deep garnet. Red velvet cake on the nose, with a little black fruit.
Very smooth texture, like pouring milk over carpet. Lots of body. Flavors of marscapone, buttersctoch and some wood on the end. A little chocolate as it opened up. Slightly tannic at the end of the long finish.
Paired great with hickory smoked beef briscut.4,238 views
