August 28, 2011 - My only bottle of 1998. Better than expected. Round open nose with still discernable fruit. Complex and satisfying on the palate. Cherry, black rasberry, redcurrant, chocolate, cinnamon, & pain grille in a distinctly mid-bodied wine with nicely balanced tannin. Nice but abbreviated finish
