  September 12, 2011 - drank sept 10th, 2011. purchased from the winery.
  color - deep dark purple with a touch of gloss
  nose - right out of the gate, this was singing with dark , a little bark and and some spices. really nice
  palate - this surely has some notes of dark cherry, blackberries , but also slightly medicinal. the note that kept popping up was campari. it had this bitter edge that was complex, intriguing but a little off putting. also, the acidity is healthy and really gives this wine some lift. this needs food for sure. preferably rich pasta with meat or a steak. at 9 euros- deal! buy a few of these and drink them over the next 3 to five years. i think they will integrate better and be quite nice.
