  September 12, 2011 - A very good wine, but it under achieved. On release, I heard a lot about this wine. I suppose it could have shut down, be a less than stellar bottle, yada yada, but I hoped for more. The nose has nice cassis but a fair amount of oak. On the palate, one dimensional. Not the ripe fruit that I was expecting from 07 and not really interesting. Still more oak than I would like. I certainly wouldn't age with hope this will develop. I paid $25 on "sale" in Ohio. Nothing to suggest this wine is in that category for my tastes. At $15, it would be worth it, but I still would be a buyer.
