  September 28, 2011 - I finally popped my bottle and I honestly can't understand all the hate. It's a fairly restrained wine that didn't rock my world, but it by no means was offensive. In fact it was actually pretty good, just not great. For me it was a nice and dusty mix of red and dark fruit, some pepper and earth becoming more obvious on the palate. If I'm going to ding it for something it's the short finish, but overall this is really very good--just not excellent.
