October 13, 2011 - Good, simple (no sense of terroir), fruity CA Zin that went well with pizza. Bought on sale at $8.33, so good QPR at that price point, but not worth its regular $12 tag. Just a simple Zin with nice mouthfeel and its not hot on the finish either. The nose is lacking and the flavors are certainly subdued, almost a manufacturing taste if that makes sense. Picks up a little with 30+ min of decant, the finish becomes smoother. Would buy again on sale and save for pizza-football nights. Not going to develop, drink now.
