  December 5, 2011 - Clear, pale purple intensity with lighter rim and many legs. Clean with pronounced nose. developing. black cherry, black fruit, ripe blackberry fruit, cooking spices, licorice, and wet stone. Dry, with med acid, med + tannins, full body, and high alcohol. The flavor intensity is medium. Unripe black fruit, some baking spices, chalky influence, oak and smoked tobacco. The tannins are a bit out of balance compared to the rest of the wine. Medium finish.
  Acceptable. Drink now and not intended for aging.
