December 13, 2011 - Opened and decanted for 1 hour. Ruby with only a hint of bricking. OK - all i can say is that this wine has finally arrived. Wonderful nose of blackberry, cherry, raspberry and spice. On the palate, this is really nice - blackberry, raspberry, coffee and a nice minerality that is no longer just pencil lead, something more like crushed stones. Very balanced with smooth, well integrated silky tannins, long finish. What a great surprise...
