December 25, 2011 - First a disclaimer: I really like BV wines. This is a gorgeous red. Drank with Beef Wellington - perfect! The nose brings you right into the BV barrel room. Earthy, oaky, with hints of eucalyptus, and moss. Nice blueberry tones as well. The tannins are a little soft at first but assert their power as the wine warms in the glass. This is drinking really well right now. Don't be afraid to decant for a few hours.
