  January 22, 2012 - Nice deep red colour with slight fading at the edges. Menthol, black and red fruits with well judged oak and nice secondary characters coming through on the nose. Palate was a bit disappointing and let the wine down. Nice line of acidity and soft tannins but lacking fruit and thus not quite balanced. Enjoyable wine to drink but not greatly stimulating, I suspect its peak was probably 2-3 years ago.
