January 29, 2012 - A good depth of garnet still, fading to the edges. Decanted for 30 mins. Initially, the nose was predominantly vegetal, with a slightly spicy celeriac/mushroom edge to it, but with another 30 mins this started to really open up and an amount of fruit developed to underpin these aromas. Medium palate with a suprising amount of plum and blackberry fruit to it. Slightly meaty with a touch of peppery, earthy spice. Very good acidity, tannins almost fully resolved. This has a very good length finish on it.
