February 7, 2012 - This is a great wine - in the making. It was decanted for two hours (as per the wine seller's instructions) and whilst this helped release some of the red fruits on the nose, mouthfeel and long, languid finish it didn't mask what was, for me, it's flaw: over imposing tannin.
I'm sure with a few more years in the bottle the tannin will mature and bring more smoothness to the wine but, at this stage, it takes too much centre stage for my liking.
However, I still really enjoyed this wine but would suggest a longer time in the decanter or leaving for a couple of years.3,167 views
