  February 17, 2012 - 13.9%. Decanted for 3 hrs. Opened to see if the style seems in line with buying forward. Funk out of the gate, no heat. Dusty cinnamon, pure dark berries. 20% shy of opaque. Ash, burnt oak/tar, clean, on the nose. Palate was semi silky and dense out of the gate (unique mouthfeel comes to mind). After decanting a steaminess reveals. Overall special fruit. Fruit from this vineyard has definite potential. I look forward to seeing this winery evolve.
