  March 15, 2012 - I've had this wine in my cellar for a few years now and decided it was time. Unfortunately, there is some funk on the nose and not in a good way. I sometimes think I'm oversensitive to this, so it may have been ok... I went back and forth on it. The mouthfeel is smooth, like I remember, and the finish lingers and has nice tannins, still. Fairly classic Merlot profile, not high fruit. But, for me, there was this persistent "off-ness" that prevented me from completely enjoying it. I didn't mark the bottle flawed, but lowered my rating. It could be this is nearing the end of life or, probably more likely, there was just something a bit off in this bottle. Without that, I would have gone 89+
