  March 23, 2012 - Was a wall of tannin when opened but that lessened after about an hour. Classic earthy cab franc nose. A touch hot even after an hour and the tannins are still a bit obtrusive but tobacco and leather shine through along with some mushroom and cherry. Definitely a "big", modern cab franc with some vanilla and little of the green notes that are so polarizing in cab franc. I'd hold for another couple years or give it plenty of air before drinking.
