  April 9, 2012 - As fresh as a daisy. Tastes like a barrel sample, with juicy blackberry fruit, cracked black pepper, and the freshest of lilacs leaping from the glass. The palate has incredible freshness, with high toned black fruits, beef stock, and impressive structure. Not quite as flashy and juicy as the 09 vintage was at the same stage. That said, this is far from lacking in concentration. A great young syrah that I'll be eager to track over time. Back up the truck!
