  April 16, 2012 - I was pretty dismayed reading many of these reviews, but I have to say, after finishing the bottle (over the course of 4 days, kept corked & in the fridge in between), I'm surprised at how "mediocre" they were. Color & depth-wise, it's clearly a pinot, and yes, the nose is pretty subdued. What comes through is floral, maybe just a hint of dustiness. Which makes the fruit-forward palate strange at first. More sweet red fruit that I expected from a pinot, mostly overripe cherries, some raspberry too perhaps. A little spice on the backend, medium finish. My biggest complaint is the body, it's too syrupy. Overall, decent, not a world-beating pinot, but ok for $20ish.
