  March 9, 2012 - The Grande Estates label’s Bordeaux-ish red blend of 64% Merlot, 19% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4.5% Malbec. Dark red/purple color. Blackberry and vanilla aromas. Medium-full bodied palate showing remarkable complexity for the price with flavors of blackberry, coffee, and oak. Cannot underscore the complexity-per-price ratio here – if such a thing exists. Smooth medium length finish. The finest $8/bottle wine I’ve had in a very long time. Buy this one by the case!
