Shows ripeness, but the herbaceous notes show cabernet franc typicity - 2 of the 4 correctly identified as Chinon, which should allay any fears from traditionalists due to the ripe year. Palate is extremely structured and very backward, but there was still an underlying complexity that suggests this will be special with age. Should hit its peak in 10 years.
