  May 18, 2012 - Excellent and smooth considering the alcohol percent and amount of oak. There is more oak than I prefer but is it still within range of adding a net benefit to the wine. The fruit is incredibly dense with a lot of forward flavor, decanting 30-45 min recommended. I was gifted this bottle, and definitely would not pay $50 for it, I would rate CHW lot 247/257 and BV Napa cab as being equal for 2/3 less, this wine just doesn't have anything special about it to live up to the price tag.
