  June 4, 2012 - Red with coffee-colored hints.
  
  Peppermint and milk chocolate, peaches and pears, cooked prunes.
  
  Palate has a green tea-like astringency, powdery cocoa, more stewed fruit (fig and date). The components of the wine are very well balanced, and the wine is at it's peak.
  
  I should mention that the pear and peach were noticed by my girlfriend, who has no knowledge of wine theory and is not tainted by bias. The aromas are definitely there, however.
