  June 14, 2012 - Splash decanted and paired with a New York Strip, garlic mashed potatoes and steamed spinich. On the nose, a fragrant bouquet of dark fruits, sweet red fruits, cherry notes and cassis. The tannins have mellowed and integrated, leaving a mix of blueberry, blackberry, mineral, black cherry, with a hint of tobacco, leather and baking spice. The finish was long and revealed a slight hint of sweetness, without a hint of the alcohol beneath. What an exceptional bottle of wine - well-integrated and open for business! Bravo!
