  June 25, 2012 - Having tasted other cabs by Paul Hobbs, I was somewhat disappointed by this one. I would still consider this wine good, but not great. It's a typical California cab around this price range, with fruit forward flavors and heavy oak. However, I felt the flavors were clumsy, disjointed, and missed some desired complexity. It improved after an hour of decanting, but I wouldn't expect more progress for longer decants.
