  June 27, 2012 - Clear as day, hovering somewhere between straw and gold, featuring an interesting mix of caramel/honey, vanilla, almonds, melon & fig on the nose. Wasn't sure what to expect as far as taste goes, but the reassuring stone fruit & green apple snap of the chardonnay grape burst out of the glass, backed up with butterscotch-infused oak. Not over the top, but definitely present. High acid content is balanced out by a slate-driven, moderately spiced finish. Strong QPR if you can still find it at some close-out sales.
