  July 6, 2012 - Underwhelming (though coming after a 3 decades of La Chapelle flight and before a Margaux and Latour...). The paper wrapping showed some signs of seepage but cork was dry and clean. Very Northern Rhone nose with the addition of significant black pepper. A little disjointed and with some bitter savory notes this seems a little shut down or the seepage was real and caused this. Note sounds worse than it was, fruit was nice and pepper was dominant. I'll wait a year before opening another.
