  January 6, 2007 - showing mature orange brick edge, modest dark core, not as clean looking as I would have liked, concentrated dark fruit, woodsy aromas, nicely integrated and quite full, this was a silky smooth drink that did not really wow me, but I did know there was quality behind the rather plain face that it showed tonight. Maybe it needed more than the 3.5 hours of air I gave it, maybe I should have splash decanted?
  
  all in all, good mature wine but no QPR, the others loved it with the beef roast
