  September 22, 2012 - Cork was in good shape (unlike a couple of other 1987 bottles we opened where the cork crumbled). Dark purple, no visible bricking. Not terribly complex, but nice sour cherry fruit, with an earthy quality to it. Don't think it will go downhill anytime soon, but also don't think it will evolve much more either.
