  September 29, 2012 - After 1 year in the cellar I open this 2009 Turning Leaf Merlot bottle to compare it to a 12 € 2008 Château Plaisance Merlot. The Bordeaux wins hands down. Yet the Turning Leaf Merlot is not that bad. A bit on the sweet side, okay fruitiness, short finish, slight hint of oak, somewhat concentrated. One of the better choices at the 5 Euro price point. Might mix well with coke.
