  October 8, 2012 - Delightful, medium weight, very solid wine. A great mix of contrasting flavors, cedar, earth, tart berries, sweet fruit, wet wool, turpentine and pepper. Definitely better with food, in fact great with food. Still, even on its own, it's solid on its feet, balanced but I can understand if this is somewhat challenging to some palates; but very satisfying. Great VPR. Another few years would be interesting if it can stay together.
