October 18, 2012 - This wine was a revelation. Nose of petrol and lemon oil. Palate is creamy, with light sweet fruit in the pear/apricot spectrum - not quite tropical, but also with a crisp freshness and a touch of citrus, like the middle of a soft lemon cookie towards the end. The mouthfeel, though! Good lord, it is amazing. Weightless and creamy like meringue, it caresses your tongue like silk bedding and makes you want to just leave it in your mouth and never swallow (or just keep sipping more!). Just a ridiculously good aged Auslese and an example of everything that is brilliant about German Riesling.
