  October 21, 2012 - Wow, wow, wow. Based on the other tasting notes, I knew this was going to need a big decant. Right out of the bottle, the nose was already pretty....subduded with dark, dark fruit notes. I tried a sip and yes, it is tight/gripping. I began a 9 hour decant....occasionally shaking it quite violently. It was worth the wait. Nose of dark fruit, licorice, eucalyptus, leather, cassis, soy....amazing....it kept changing. The complexity of this wine is mind boggling. The palate was silky...wonderfully silky. Long finish that only continued to get better the longer it sat in my glass.
