  October 28, 2012 - Wonderful oxidized flavors. Almonds, grains, and general nuttiness. It gets the high score because it's a very well made wine with proper balance of all of its components. However, it could be even greater if it had a long finish. As you'll find, this has wonderful flavors up until the mid-palate, and then completely dies. Washed into nothing, and finishes like water. So sad. Perhaps another vintage will be necessary to try! Went wonderfully with a handful of different cheese types. I preferred it with a strong stilton, but it worked well with manchego-like cheeses too.
