  November 7, 2012 - Rather light. Crushed red berries, leather on the nose. Medium body, tastes younger than 2009 Contrada, more tight and tannic. Very concentrated and fresh on the palate, lingonberries, slightly leathery and metallic, powerful. A bit hot on the finish. Very long. The alcohol is quite well integrated here unlike in most Franchetti. Not overly complex now, but very good.
