  November 18, 2012 - Fruit-driven nose (no oak, which is nice) with dark cherries and blueberries as the most pronounced notes. Full on the palate, but (thankfully) none of the typical California over-oaking - once again completely fruit-driven: round and smooth, with layers of flavor. Medium-to-short finish, with a bit of spice emerging. No tannin spike; ready to enjoy right now. A really nice blend, well integrated and really well-made. Drinks like a $35-plus old world wine. Respect to the winemaker on this one.
