  November 21, 2012 - Dark garnett core and a brick rim. Ripe blackberry, and blueberry chocolate, tobacco, eucalyptus, green pepper and an ashy minerality on the nose. The palate starts with a sweet chocolaty atack but it becomes dry on the mid palate and it finishes with a long spicy flavor resembling green peppers. high acidity and tannins with alcohol perfectly integrated. This wine will certainly get better in 5 years or so when the tannins and acid mellow out a bit. Extremely complex. I did not decant it and the wine would have benefited from it, had I done so.
