  December 21, 2012 - Ordered with our tasting menu at Akelare. The nose was rather restrained but had hints of licquorice, faint strawberries, tobacco and some other typical older Rioja wines. For the first 45 minutes or so, palate still had some fresh strawberry and cherries - which was slightly surprising, and although this was overtaken eventually by a more musty earth tone and minerality, it was generally good for the first hour. Drink up though!
