  January 13, 2013 - Magnum. Decanted for an hour, consumed in the fabulous Schott Enotica glass. Ruby-slipper red under the lights. Dark fruits and pipe tobacco on the nose. Raspberries and cherry compote leads to sour dried cherry finish that's oh so long and silky smooth. I love the fact that this wine is so earthy yet so balanced -- it's clear winemaker Trujillo isn't overworking the wine in the lab like so many of the artificially filtered and chemically altered wines that seem to be the trend these days. But wait -- isn't this the much-maligned 2003 vintage? I must find more of this... 750s are ready to go now, but this mag has so much more to offer...
