  January 14, 2013 - This wine has really come together. Unfortunately, this was my my last bottle. Opened two hours prior but no decant. Very nice mouthfeel with notes of dark fruit and spice. The wood has really subsided and melded well and the relatively high alcohol was not readily apparent. An excellent partner for Flannery pork chops..cast iron seared and finished in the oven. Marcassin is always a controversial producer but this bottle showed why, to me at least, they need at least ten years of age.
