  January 16, 2013 - Very deep red with a touch of purple remaining, nose shows some heat, but gobs of fruits, cassis, and touches of vanilla and toast are present. Palate is dense and chewy with sinewy fruit and some meaty notes. With 20-30 second finish, this wine is bigger than I though it would be, and still needs 2-3 years to hit its peak. Quite decent, and if you can find a bottle, a good value.
