February 3, 2013 - It was as expected. This site was that reliable... sipping it this year was done for. Though i must say the tannins are powerful, OAK as well..no fruit in the middle. smells semi-rusty, & ALCOHOL shish! is packed. Unbalanced yet round. acidity ok, tannins still have a punch, but no taste of fruit .questionable but seems kinda bitter than fruity. color was age and sediment rich. maroon brown deep murky blood......drank at room temp. hopefully better with old cheeses gruyere.
The wine looks Caramel colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Chocolate, Alcohol/Hot, Ethanol, Coffee, Oak, Lead Pencil, and Petrol. It tastes like Coffee, Espresso, Vanilla, Oak, and Chocolate. The body is Full. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Medium.3,476 views
