I'm finding that I like Maggie's wines young with a solid decant. this just screamed with roasted blackberry, black cherry, carpaccio, and BBQ spice. in the mouth this was silky yet invasive, and the finish was ridiculously long, tumbling around without wanting you to forget her. this has been my standout wine of 2013. 97-98.

2/9/13, 8:03 AM - jctra- good question! if you haven't yet, jump over to the ct forum to see some good discussion about the merits of ratings. for me, there are just too many variables that go into my rating "process" to be reliable. my rating is so subjective that i just don't want to affect the rating in the ct system with my own bias and lack of reliability, so i figure that the note itself is more valuable which is why i put a rating range in there. cheers!

2/10/13, 1:39 AM - Good answer! But for me that is one of the big values. Having a number of ratings from the community, people like you and me, tells much more than one Robert Parker or anybody.
