  September 22, 2003 - Decanted for two hours – A little brown at the edges. The nose is dark fruit with green olive and earth. The initial fruit is dark cherry, and the midpalate gains plum and adds spice and meat. Toward the finish, the fruit turns raisiny and the tannins emerge. I was disappointed with this wine. I thought it would show better. I did not expect the brown edges, and wonder if it had some heat damage.
