  February 17, 2013 - Wasn't sure what I would get when I opened this based on previous reviews but I fortunately got a great bottle. Very typical quince, honey, and ginger spice; moderately rich mouthfeel and a decent amount of acid although not at the levels I enjoy. I started this a little warmer than usual but as it chilled more in the fridge, I started to sense the "earthy" notes that have been described below but for me, it only added to rather than detracted from the wine; I would describe it as more of a white truffle note. There was ample fruit in this bottling but I do agree that it wasn't as pure as I like from Huet, but overall, a very solid wine from a difficult vintage.
