February 24, 2013 - Color is still fresh dark garnet, perhaps just a slight tinge toward brick; A delicious and satisfying wine, with plenty of dried dark cherry, excellent acidity, some very fine tannins, fresh and youthful, slightly mouth gripping finish, this could use several more years. We had this by the glass in a Montalcino wine bar back in 2008; if anything this bottle (purchased here in California) seems younger and fresher than that glass.
