March 16, 2013 - Another delicious Bordeaux wine that was getting close to its maturity but still not quite there yet; rather muted upon opening so allowed to breathe for about 30 min in the open bottle first; then wow! rich and smoky nose full of caramel, Fuji apples, ripe cherries, lavenders, and cedar wood; on the palate, full-bodied, creamy, fruity, smooth, spicy, succulent, and well-structured; the long lingering finish was still a bit tannic and tight but loaded with dark fruits and mixed spices which went on and on for quite some time; a sophisticated yet enjoyable wine to drink over a few hours; 91-92 points for now; still some more aging potential left before hitting its peak I supposed; well, give it at least 2-3 more years and time will tell.
