April 4, 2013 - This is a pretty clumsy wine. It really doesn't know what to make of itself and never comes together. There's a lot of big Zinfandel flavors mixed in with young tannins and a mature finish. It's all disconcerting and unpleasant. After being opened and aerated into a glass for over an hour, nothing really changed. Rosenblum was a real deal Zin producer, but since the sale to Diagio, quality truly appears to have suffered.

4/8/13, 5:48 PM - Well, four days later, there was a half bottle left and it was four times better than the night it was first opened. Smoothed out and loaded with raspberry flavored juice. Everything the old Rosenblums used to be. It just took a few days to open up. Give it a new score...93.
