  April 3, 2013 - nothing like i remember or wrote about in last note. decanted 4-5 hours. color was dark to the rim. nose expressive but underwhelming - dark fruits, tar, a little heat. palate not giving at all. almost retiscent. tried to coax something out of it. finally found some dark fruit and perhaps little spice but overall not very giving. no lushness, no wow. wonder if in dumb phase. rather angular on the palate. finish is short and fails to stimulate and pleasure. i think this is a well made wine and hope that it opens down the road, but tonight not so much. my score is inclusive of 6-8 points of future potential.
